Washington, United States Forensic Risk Alliance Full time

Company
Forensic Risk Alliance (FRA) is a market leader in regulatory compliance, financial investigations, and data analytics. We specialize in supporting clients facing cross-border litigation, multi-jurisdictional investigations – internal and external – and compliance program design and testing. At FRA, we are regularly hired to provide expertise on some of the world’s largest compliance matters and are consistently recognized and recommended for our client service excellence.

Job Profile
FRA’s Forensic Technology practice is a global data and technology team focused on supporting clients dealing with complex regulatory and compliance issues, investigations, and disputes. Our team works with large multifaceted datasets across multiple industries such as Aerospace and Defense, Manufacturing, Health Sciences, and Finance.

As an Associate Director in our Forensic Technology practice, you will manage the execution and delivery client deliverables relating to the full Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) process. You will need to apply independent judgment and discretion to all aspects of service delivery: staffing, resource management, internal and external escalations, managing client expectations, working with senior management, and mentoring and guiding junior members to success.

Successful candidates will work in a collegial and collaborative manner with internal resources, lead client communications as a legal project management subject matter expert, and demonstrate effective organizational skills including coordination, documentation, and execution. You will oversee and lead multiple projects and complex work streams, ensuring delivery against plan, mitigating risks and issues, and supporting the seamless integration of our advisory services into broader forensic accounting and technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a portfolio of engagements through all aspects of the engagement lifecycle including development of work plans, budgets, communications and feedback, and client delivery and reporting.
  • Manage day-to-day support on client engagements, ensuring team members have the clarity, support and development they need to remain engaged and appropriately skilled to deliver optimum levels of client service.
  • Direct the execution of e-discovery operational tasks, including remote collections, evidence management, data processing, review support, and productions, as needed.
  • Deliver high-quality results by effectively supervising team members in multiple geographic areas and developing and applying appropriate quality control processes and procedures while reviewing work product.
  • Display an understanding of client needs and priorities, leveraging experience to anticipate potential challenges and adapting delivery approach to continually changing circumstances.
  • Liaise with and serve as technical subject matter expert in collaboration with fraud investigators, internal/external auditors, lawyers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Support and embody a company-wide collaborative culture to ensure that teams are aligned and can efficiently work together while advancing the growth of colleagues through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability and risk mitigation through demonstrating adherence to risk mitigation policies as well as incorporating feedback and observations from other professionals to continually improve strategies and guidance.
  • Develop new and existing client relationships, expanding and delivering value-added services and business opportunities, including the preparation of pitches and proposals.
  • Advance personal branding and the marketplace reputation of FRA by speaking at seminars/conferences/roundtables, authoring thought leadership materials, and active participation in relevant industry trade groups.
  • Drive Forensic Technology and FRA strategic initiatives including the usage of new technology and techniques, enhanced processes, and procedures, and thought leadership.

Required Qualifications:

  • Nine or more years of experience in roles related to eDiscovery, including Advanced knowledge of Relativity or similar document review platforms.
  • Experience using forensic data collection, processing, and analytic tools such as Encase, FTK, Axiom, Cellebrite, NUIX, Brainspace, or similar.
  • Experience in evidence seizure, chain of custody, and data collection including knowledge of performing data collection in cloud solutions such as Gmail or O365.
  • Experience with analytics techniques, tools, as well as programming and database languages, such Python and SQL.
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following domains: digital forensics, data analytics and visualization, data science, AI and machine learning, information governance, and global data privacy laws.
