Position Overview: The Atelier Coordinator plays a vital role in overseeing the workflow within the atelier, ensuring efficient operations and collaboration between design, product development, and the atelier team. This position is essential in maintaining the quality and integrity of FRAME's products from concept to completion.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Atelier Workflow Management:
  • Create and maintain a master atelier Work-in-Progress (WIP) chart to outline the atelier workflow.
  • Update sample room and office boards to visually represent the atelier's workflow and project status.
  • Material Coordination:
  • Secure all materials required for the atelier, including fabric, trims, fusible interfacing, and linings.
  • Develop and manage an inventory chart of all materials in the atelier.
  • Receive, label, and tag all fabric rolls accurately.
  • Deadline Management:
  • Understand and track calendar deadlines, coordinating with pattern makers and sample hands to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Gather all cut work and trims for in-house samples, as well as materials for local factories when needed.
  • Liaison and Communication:
  • Serve as the main liaison between design, product development, and the atelier, funneling requests from external departments and approving all pattern and sewing requests.
  • Participate in hand-off meetings from design to pattern makers.
  • Fitting Coordination:
  • Collaborate with tech design to organize fittings involving pattern makers, design teams, and technical teams.
  • Process digitizing, grading, and atelier material point-of-sale (POS).
  • Sample Production:
  • Work closely with the denim bottoms pattern maker to execute zero-by-zero samples made locally, including overseeing pre-washing of fabrics.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role within the fashion industry.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in managing workflows and inventory systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with fabric types and garment construction processes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
