Job Summary: Our client is looking to add an accounting clerk to the accounting team due to continued growth.
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting (Finance degree or MBA considered with relevant work experience)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial close process and financial reporting
- Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with ERP software
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Full onsite work environment initially, with hybrid opportunities available after training
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee inventory, payroll, fixed assets, and financial close process
- Assist in inventory count compilation and conduct recount audits; maintain accurate inventory subledger
- Execute month-end close activities, including reconciliation of general ledger accounts and posting journal entries; conduct financial analysis
- Prepare monthly financial statements and various financial reports
- Aid in the preparation of annual operating budget and update financial forecasts
- Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
- Prepare and file state sales tax and CAT returns, and issue forms 1099
- Provide support to CPA firm during audits and tax filings
- Document and update standard operating procedures
- Contribute to process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Undertake ad hoc projects as assigned by management
