Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our dynamic Data Management and Operations team. In this critical role, you will be instrumental in developing quality data collection processes, maintaining robust data foundations, and enabling business leaders and data scientists to access high-quality data for strategic decision-making and innovation.
The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally to centralize and standardize data, serving as a key domain expert in out-of-car experiences and processes. You will translate complex business requirements into technical specifications, discover and analyze data requirements, and create comprehensive process models that drive business intelligence and technological advancement.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quality data collection processes
- Ensure always-on access to high-quality data for stakeholders across the organization
- Manage day-to-day data collection, transportation, maintenance, and access of connected technology data assets
- Centralize and standardize data for use by business, data science, and other stakeholders
- Increase awareness and democratize data access across the company
- Work closely with business leads, data science, and data engineering teams
- Develop in-depth understanding of business processes
- Create high-level process models including system interface, workflow, and data flow diagrams
- Analyze system data to identify patterns, exceptions, and potential improvements
- Represent data requirements in conceptual and logical data models
Required Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics
- 6+ years of experience in data analysis and data profiling
- 4+ years of strong data profiling experience
- Proven ability to identify trends and anomalies in datasets
- Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets
- Proficiency in scripting languages: Python, R, Spark, and SQL
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools and SQL warehouses (e.g., Redshift)
- Strong knowledge of app data and processes
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience utilizing AWS services
- At least 1 year of experience with business intelligence visualization tools
Nice-to-Haves
- Master's degree in Data Science or Analytics
- Experience in telematics industry
- Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
- Passion for technological innovation
- Experience in automotive or connected technologies sector
Education
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Advanced degree preferred
