Position Overview:
Pridelines is seeking qualified individuals for the position of Health Navigator and PrEP Specialist. Candidates must be bi-lingual (English / Spanish/Creole). Strong preference for gay candidates who can personally relate to the primary populations served.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Working primarily from the South Dade/Cutler Bay location, the full-time staff member will:
- Recruit and market PrEP and Health Insurance to community members;
- Provide HIV and STD counseling and testing to eligible clients, especially gay males;
- Provide education about PrEP, and help navigate interested clients into patient assistance or co-pay programs;
- Provide continued support to those taking PrEP, and to those taking medications for HIV;
- Provide assistance enrolling clients in other needed support services;
- Provide on-line and venue-based outreach, some evenings and weekends each month;
- Input and report accurate data in a timely manner;
- Participate in other agency programs and events serving the community.
Other General Responsibilities (as required)
- Supports with Center open and closing procedures (this does include cleaning, including restrooms and kitchen when necessary).
- Supports with Center staffing.
- Supports front desk operations.
- Attends meetings and events as a representative of the organization.
Qualifications:
Starting salary $17.00 to $18.50 per hour, depending upon experience and education. Pridelines employees receive benefits: health insurance, a retirement plan, and a generous leave package. Bachelor’s degree preferred, and work experience in a position with direct client contact. Candidates must complete the Florida 500 / 501 HIV testing certification. Must have transportation, and be willing to work a flexible schedule. Marketing, Community Engagement, Sales, Entrepreneurship are vital skills to the core responsibilities of recruiting and enrolling community members on heath insurance and PrEP.

Physical Activity Requirements:
This position requires frequent computer use, lifting of up to 50 pounds, and the ability to work on nights and on weekends.
