Sentara Health is hiring a Clinical Dietitian in Woodbridge, VA

This is a Full-Time, Day shift opportunity with GREAT BENEFITS

The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for managing patients' medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the medical staff-approved clinical practice standards in the outpatient setting. Serves as a resource for nutrition education.

Qualifications

  • Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) - Other/National
  • Registered Dietician (RD) - Other/National
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) - Other/National

If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics.

If not Reg Dietitian or RDN at hire, must obtain within 9 months.

BLS required within 90 days of hire

Clinical Nutrition Team: Our department provides consistent leadership and support across Sentara, emphasizing team growth, job promotion, and quality care for our patients. We provide safe, competent evidence-based nutritional therapy that meets the scope of practice per the Academy of Nutrition and Dieteticsand in accordance with the medical staff-approved clinical practice standards.We workcollaboratively with the health care team, food service department, and other nutrition professionals.

Job Summary

Responsible for managing patient's medical nutrition therapy in accordance with the medical staff approved clinical practice standards. Serves as a resource for nutrition education.

If Bachelor's Degree is in major other than Dietetics, must complete an Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) accredited Didactic Program in Dietetics. If not Reg Dietitian or RDN at hire, must obtain within 9 months. PACE specific incumbents for this position require a minimum of one year of experience working with the frail or elderly population. BLS required within 90 days of hire

Qualifications:
