You will work within a fast-paced team delivering end-to-end software processing of Overhead Persistent InfraRed (OPIR) sensor data for Missile Warning, Missile Defense, Battlespace Awareness, and Technical Intelligence.We are seeking a Senior Software Platform Engineer to serve as a key technical contributor on a Platform as a Service (PaaS) team supporting application integration at a customer site. This role focuses on building, operating, and evolving platform capabilities that enable development teams to reliably deploy, operate, and scale applications in containerized environments.ResponsibilitiesServe as a platform engineering contributor within an integration team at the customer siteSupport the integration and deployment of applications into containerized PaaS environmentsDesign and implement deployment strategies across development, test, and operational systemsBuild, maintain, and improve CI/CD pipelines supporting secure and repeatable application deliveryIntegrate development tools for:Artifact managementAutomated testingCode quality and security analysisTroubleshoot deployed applications and platform services; perform root-cause analysisWork closely with other engineers and integration team members to resolve technical issuesInterface with customer stakeholders to support platform operations and application onboardingContribute to platform documentation, standards, and best practicesParticipate in Agile ceremonies and technical discussionsSupport continuous improvement, automation, and platform reliability effortsPerform other duties as assignedActive DoD security clearanceBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)8+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or a related role3+ years of experience administering Linux systems2+ years of experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)2+ years of experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelinesExperience with artifact management and version control systemsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed systemsAbility to work 100% on-site at a customer locationStrong verbal and written communication skillsDetail-oriented and able to work independently while collaborating with a teamCandidates who have any of the following skills will be preferred:Experience with GitLab CI/CD or similar CI/CD platformsExperience creating and maintaining Helm chartsExperience with artifact repositories such as ArtifactoryExperience integrating systems in government or secure environmentsFamiliarity with platform security and compliance considerationsExperience mentoring or supporting junior engineersPrevious experience in customer-facing technical roles*Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employment.Colorado Residents: In any materials you submit, you may redact or remove age-identifying information such as age, date of birth, or dates of school attendance or graduation.
