Sodexo is seeking a Full Time Registered Dietitian to join the dynamic clinical team at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center.  Fort Walton Beach Medical Center is a 257 bed acute care facility on the beautiful Emerald Coast of the Florida Panhandle serving Okalossa county and surrounding communities. The facility provides services in the area of cardiology, open heart surgery, stroke, wound care, Women and Children's Care Program, Pediatrics, Trauma, Behavioral Health and Rehabilitation Center 

 

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the dietitian will be primarily responsible for providing nutrition care to patients in a wide variety of settings including Med surge, Rehabilitation, Behavioral Health and Progressive Care.

 

 The  Dietitian will report to the Clinical Nutrition Manager:

  • Provide Medical Nutrition Therapy counseling for patients with varying medical diagnosis as well as inpatient nutritional care and critical care. Critical care is desirable.
  • Will have one year experience.
  • Have experience with the nutrition care process and electronic charting.
  • Possess strong communication and time management skills
  • Provide education to patients, as well as staff and work closely with physicians, nursing and ancillary staff
  • Possess the ability to creatively problem solve, work independently with minimal supervision and make decisions while working within a self-directed and team-oriented work environment
  • Have excellent interpersonal communication skills to interact with a wide variety of individuals and groups
  • Have strong time management and organizational skills
  • Be involved in performance improvement activities
  • Be a self starter
  • Licensed in Florida.

Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.  In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice. In some states and/or facilities state certification/licensure is required at the time of hire
