Job Summary
- The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for assessing, treating, and managing patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, and adults.
- Responsibilities include delivering high-quality respiratory care, educating patients and families, and collaborating with healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality respiratory care, including oxygen therapy, breathing treatments, airway clearance, and airway management.
- Assess and manage patients with cardiopulmonary disorders, including ventilator setup and monitoring.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote self-care and independence.
Requirements
- Certified/registered or eligible to be certified/registered in CRT or RRT.
- NRP and BLS Certification within 6 months of employment.
- Licensure for Respiratory Care according to South Dakota regulatory requirements.
Work Schedule
- PRN, varied shifts, as needed, casual requirements per department policy.
Compensation
- The hourly range for this position is competitive and dependent on experience.
