Genesis10 is currently seeking a Software Engineer with our client in the financial industry located in Iselin, NJ. This is a 9+ month contract position.


Responsibilities:

  1. Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering.
  2. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors.
  3. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables.
  4. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel.
  5. Supports oversight and surveillance.

Requirements:

  1. 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.
  2. 7 years of engineering experience.
  3. Scala.
  4. Big Data Hadoop, Hive, Java, Python and Spark experience.
  5. Data analysis expertise.
  6. Advanced SQL, Unix Shell scripting and Autosys.
  7. Agile, JIRA.

Desired Skills:

  1. Investment Banking experience.
