About the Role:

As a Manufacturing Engineer for the automotive fuel injector division, you will work closely with the Manufacturing Manager to ensure the development, measurement, and maintenance of product and process procedures. You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting manufacturing efforts through technical leadership, process improvements, and adherence to industry standards.


Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Required:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer with a Tier 1/Tier 2 Automotive Supplier or OEM
  • Strong knowledge of ISO or QS standards
  • Experience with project management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Preferred:
  • Experience with root cause analysis/problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Shainin, Six Sigma)
  • Previous engineering experience in an automotive setting

  • Organization: Skilled in managing multiple tasks and prioritizing to meet deadlines.
  • Time Management: Proficient at balancing workload to align with project schedules.
  • Diagnostic Abilities: Strong analytical skills for problem-solving and resolution planning.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Communication: Proficient in conveying technical information across various media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain SOPs, Control Plans, and other TS16949-compliant documentation.
  • Lead the development of new product manufacturing processes, including equipment specifications.
  • Conduct cost justifications for new products.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to support successful new product launches.
  • Provide troubleshooting expertise to drive quality improvements and address process issues.
  • Lead initiatives focused on scrap and waste reduction.
  • Support other tasks as directed by the Manufacturing Manager.
