Position Overview
The Operating Engineer is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mechanical systems and equipment, including chillers and boilers, in a facility. This role ensures that all operations comply with regulatory standards and promotes a safe working environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain chillers and boilers to ensure optimal performance.
  • Monitor and control building systems for efficiency and safety.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventative maintenance on all mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions and operational issues.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records of operations and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineering staff to improve system performance.
Qualifications
  • Valid Stationary Engineer License.
  • Experience with chillers and boilers operations.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and building operations.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • NILUPE certification preferred.
