Our Client is seeking a Data Engineer to work onsite in their Nashville office. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining data pipelines and creating datasets for analytical use. Working closely with internal business partners, you’ll help design, specify, and develop both functional and technical requirements for business solutions, supporting the team in delivering standard and custom BI reporting solutions. This role provides a unique opportunity to work on company-wide initiatives, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. Additionally, you will play a key role in training business users on how to use the tools and reports you develop, maximizing their value across the organization.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and optimize data pipelines to ingest and transform large volumes of data from various sources in a timely and reliable manner.
  • Build, maintain, and optimize our data warehouse to support analytical and operational needs, ensuring data integrity and accessibility.
  • Implement and manage ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes to facilitate data collection, transformation, and storage in alignment with business requirements.
  • Work closely with Data Scientists, Analysts, Product Managers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure they are met.
  • Implement and monitor data validation processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of data across the data infrastructure.
  • Ensure data architecture complies with regulatory standards, data privacy laws, and best security practices.
  • Analyze and improve the efficiency of current data processing workflows, reducing latency, and increasing data accessibility.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation for data infrastructure, pipelines, and processes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role
  • Proficiency with SQL and experience in building and optimizing queries and databases
  • Strong knowledge of cloud platforms Azure Analysis Services and Azure Data Lake
  • Understanding of data modeling principles and best practices for designing data architecture
  • Experience with Python, Java, or Scala for data-related tasks
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
