Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide range of administrative tasks for a four-person attorney team, which includes the General Counsel
- Assist the Legal Department team with organizing and managing the Legal network drives, email inbox and the contract management tool
- Assist Legal Department team with updating the Legal Department (and other firm) policies and procedures
- Responsible for filing copies of contracts, agreements and other related legal documents
- Assist the LegalDepartment with various matters including regulatory submissions
- Responsible for working with the Legal and Compliance Departments on the monitoring and tracking of various regulatory inquiries, audits, enforcement matters and subpoenas
- Reconcile and submit expense reports through Concur for the Legal Department
- Organize travelarrangements for the Legal Department using Concur
- Maintain the corporate minute book for the Board of Managers
- Maintain and update the Signature and Competences List
- Perform email searches using Global Relay
- Monitoring of updates to global policies and procedures
- Monitoring updating of local Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for the various departments
Requirements
- 5 + years of experience supporting a team of 3+ attorneys and executive team members
- Associates Degree required, Bachelor's degree preferred
- Possess a strong working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Litera Compare, DocuSign and Adobe Acrobat,
- Familiarity with contract management systems (Legsiway, DocuSign, Litera Compare)
- Global Relay, and Concur (or similar products)
- Versatile, team player mentality with a willingness to pitch in on short notice
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Well-organized, reliable and resourceful
- Desire to work cross-functionally and constantly learn new aspects of the position and the business
- Ability to work onsite in the Chicago office a min of 3 days per week
Preferred Skills:
- Paralegal certification
- Experience in financial services
