Pay: $35-$44/hr

Shift: Thurs-Mon


Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex in vitro, in vivo, and ex vivo studies with minimal supervision to support target identification, validation, and therapeutic development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in inflammation, metabolism, or related fields.
  • Perform in-vivo dosing, bleeding, and animal handling during a shifted workweek that includes weekends.
  • Process and analyze ex vivo samples.
  • Exhibit scientific curiosity and analytical skills to understand biology and mechanisms of action, advancing projects through the discovery pipeline.
  • Design, execute, troubleshoot, document, and analyze research aligned with project and exploratory goals with minimal oversight.
  • Review current scientific literature to identify new program opportunities.
  • Establish and optimize key assays and model systems for target investigation and therapeutic evaluation.
  • Present data and findings clearly to project teams, contributing to collaborative discussions and decision-making.


Education:

  • Associate degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years, or Master’s degree with 1+ year in chemical biology, molecular and cellular biology, pharmacology, biology, or a related field.
  • Additional relevant industry experience is preferred but not required.


Experience & Skills:

  • Ability to work independently and manage diverse tasks with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Hands-on experience with small laboratory animals, including in-vivo dosing, bleeding, and handling.
  • Proficiency in routine immunoassays (bead or plate-based) and standard molecular biology techniques (e.g., western blotting, qPCR).
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the flexibility to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
  • Demonstrated scientific productivity through publications and presentations.
  • Experience in one or more areas: target identification & validation, adipose, liver, or muscle biology, or immunology related to insulin resistance.
