Role Responsibilities
- ERP System Management: Provide support, administration, and development for the Windows-based custom ERP system modernized from Unisys with Micro Focus COBOL and MS SQL.
- Programming: Work extensively with COBOL, XIDE, PowerShell (for workflow and batch scheduling), and SQL.
- Integration: Utilize APIs (MVC5, JSON, WebAPI, SOAP) for third-party software integration and support B2B transactions.
- Problem Solving: Collaborate with business leaders to identify issues, analyze workflows, and deliver long-term solutions.
- System Maintenance: Lead ERP system upgrades, deployments, and general maintenance.
- Additional Development: Engage in HTML screen design and backend COBOL transactions, as well as assist in general IT troubleshooting.
- Cross-Platform Learning: Expand expertise in other systems managed by the company.
Qualifications
Technical Proficiency:
- COBOL or related technologies.
- SQL, including query writing and stored procedures.
- PowerShell for scripting and workflows.
- API technologies (MVC5, JSON, WebAPI, SOAP).
- HTML5, .NET, and C# (preferred).
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- ERP system development and integration.
- Visual Studio
- Scheduling software like ActiveBatch.
- SQL reporting tools.
Desired Skills
