POSITION PURPOSE:

We are seeking a hospitality focused and organized individual to join our team as a Banquet Director. Responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of all banquet operations at the property. This role ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction by delivering exceptional service, maintaining operational efficiency, and managing a team of banquet professionals.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Oversee the setup, execution, and breakdown of all banquet events, ensuring they meet the client's specifications and company standards.
  • Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure timely and quality food and beverage service.
  • Monitor event timelines and manage any on-the-spot changes or challenges.
  • Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all events.
  • Foster a positive team environment and motivate staff to deliver exceptional service.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching or corrective action as needed.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPIERENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in banquet operations or event management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and best practices.
  • A keen eye for detail and commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Certification in food safety and alcohol service (preferred).
  • Proficiency in banquet management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION:

  • Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
  • Flexibility to reach, bend, and stoop.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
