Job title: Quality Technician
Location: North Royalton
Shift: 1 st (Monday through Friday 7 am to 330 pm)(occasional OT)
Salary: $20-$25 an hour based on experience
Responsibilities:

  • Supports shift inspectors through measuring and testing product.
  • Initiate and train inspectors on quality alerts.
  • Provides shift inspectors training as needed based on Client's and/or RMA's.
  • Conduct layered quality audits (auditing inspectors)
  • Log inspection data and file lot traceability and inspection forms.
  • Ensure inspection process books are consistent with ECN changes.
  • Creates certificate of compliance and certificate of analysis records for shipments.
  • Participate in Customer audit processes.
  • Support PPM goals and scorecard improvements by providing data for reporting.
  • Participate in Lean cell improvements and Kaizen events.
  • Assist with FAIR's and PPAP's and new product introduction.
  • Assist with WinSPC and other statistical software(s).
  • Assists with managing and maintaining the Non-Conformance / Hold Area.

Qualifications / Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience related industry
  • Machining/plastic injection molding experience preferred
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent years of experience
  • Auditing, metrology equipment, and an understanding of formal problem solving are highly preferred
  • Knowledge in ERP, statistical software, Microsoft Windows, and Office Suite.
  • Ability to read and interpret manufacturing and tooling prints.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organization, follow-up, and time management skills along with the ability to effectively multi-task.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
  • Specific visional abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to pass a preemployment screening
