Position Summary:

The RN Case Reviewer for Professional Practice Excellence will support the Professional Practice Committee by managing data and information needed for the performance of Ongoing Professional Practice Evaluation (OPPE) and Focused Professional Practice Evaluation (FPPE), maintain aggregate and individual case data, and develop clinical case summaries, data trending, and analysis. They will report to the Director of Professional Practice Excellence and ensure adherence to all relevant policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Professional Practice Committee’s OPPE and FPPE activities.
  • Orient new members to the designated format for evaluation and documentation of reviews.
  • Support the identification and maintenance of data sources and streams for service specific indicators.
  • Ensure reports and data are communicated to appropriate committees.
  • Timely evaluation and closure of reviews.
  • Maintain evaluation data, reports and minutes of the PPC with strictest confidentiality.
  • Facilitate individual practitioner review of their data.
  • Oversee and secure the collection of case review data as prescribed by policy for aggregation, analysis, and presentation.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant regulatory standards for professional practice evaluation and all applicable policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing, required.
  • 3 years directly related experience required.
  • RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.

Physical Demands:

  • Sedentary work. Exerts up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount frequently.
  • Sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.

Work Environment:

  • No or minimal hazard or physical risk, office environment.
