Robotics Engineer

Contract is set to run until the end of April 2025. This position could extend past the end date of April, but there is not yet any guarantee.
Travel for this position is mostly locally in Michigan; if traveling outside of MI it will be the Memphis, TN area and the travel schedule is usually 4 weeks onsite at a time but will be flexible with the candidates schedule.
Local travel (MI) - hours are 8am-4:30pm | Out of state travel (Tenn.) 6am - 6pm.
Job Responsibilities:
· Teach and configure various robotic systems, including TCP, Frames, Loads, and DCS (Safety Configuration)
· Set up and configure robot I/O, ensuring seamless communication and integration
· Implement and optimize dispense processes within paint shops and general assembly applications
· Install and configure vision equipment, both robot-mounted and floor-mounted systems
· Develop Offline Programs (OLPs) and simulations for process validations
· Demonstrate proficiency in robotic applications such as Material Handling, Dispense (Urethane, Sealer, Adhesive, Paint), and Welding (Spot, Arc, Laser)
· Utilize Tool Center Points, User Frames, Base Frames, and Work Objects for precise robotic movements
· Integrate external axes and peripheral devices, including dispense and vision equipment
· Optimize robot applications to meet customer requirements and improve cycle times
· Possess effective communication skills for client interactions and meetings
Requirements:
· Relevant education or training in robotics, automation, or a related field
· Proven experience in robotic programming, configuration, and troubleshooting
· Proficiency in offline programming software and simulation platforms
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
· Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
· Willingness to travel locally (Michigan) and occasionally out-of-state (Memphis, TN area)

· Travel schedule: Typically 4 weeks onsite, with flexibility to accommodate candidate's schedule
· Local travel (MI) hours: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
· Out-of-state travel (TN) hours: 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
· Potential for contract extension beyond the initial end date
