The Employ CFO will have a broad range of leadership responsibilities, from board room discussions and public speaking engagements to hands-on oversight of Employ’s finance, legal, operations, IT, and Security teams and be a key member of the Employ executive leadership team. They must thrive in a high-growth, fluid, and metrics-oriented environment, with a deep passion for driving results. This role reports to the CEO of Employ.


CFO Responsibilities:
  1. Lead finance, legal, business intelligence, IT & Security teams
  2. Serve as a key member of the Employ executive leadership team
  3. Assess, evaluate, and optimize financial performance
  4. Manage strategic planning and budgeting process
  5. Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to establish and achieve yearly top and bottom-line financial objectives
  6. Partner with CEO on M&A strategy, transactions, capital fundraising and integration planning
  7. Optimize and improve the efficiency of internal Company operations
  8. Implement, maintain, and audit internal financial controls, policies, and procedures
  9. Prepare and present regular financial reports as required by management and Board of Directors
  10. Strong leadership presence. Internal/external storyteller and simplifier
  11. Public speaking – both internally and externally with industry analysts and investors
  12. Manage the preparation and support of all external audits and diligence requests
  13. Oversee the management of the Company’s capitalization table

CFO Requirements:
  1. Experience scaling a $100M company to $500M and beyond either as a CFO or senior executive finance executive
  2. Proven experience in a private equity or public company high growth business; prior experience taking a company public a strong plus
  3. Strategic/operational CFO who will be a strong business partner to the CEO and be externally facing to customers/partners/board of investors
  4. Previous experience in high growth, enterprise software environments and track record of successfully scaling a SaaS business
  5. Experience with M&A (both buying and selling) and post-acquisition integration
  6. International business experience
  7. Deep SaaS model experience, services a plus
  8. Direct and indirect customer acquisition model experience
  9. “Hands-on” financial team leadership approach
  10. M&A and integration experience
  11. Ability to influence and motivate staff inside and outside immediate span of control
  12. Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  13. Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills
  14. CPA or MBA preferred

This position is based in our Waltham, MA office. This role requires the ability to travel as needed.
