We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Milling Plant Maintenance Assistant. In this role, you will work alongside Mechanics to assist with maintenance and repair tasks on equipment and processes within the Milling plant, ensuring optimal operation and efficiency.

*Mill Maintenance Helper Responsibilities *

 



* Safely assist with maintenance and repair of equipment and processes in the Milling plant including mills, conveyors, screens and like systems. 

* Assist Mechanics with maintenance activities on Crushers, overlaying conveyor systems, ball mills, auto mills, screen decks, lube systems, compressors, filter drums, hydraulic filter presses, foundry pumps and lubrication systems 

* Assist with and performs preventative maintenance activities on Mill equipment 

* Complete Work Orders and other maintenance documentation 

* Perform housekeeping duties and work area checks 

* May operate mobile equipment 

* Perform other duties as required 


*Mill Maintenance Helper Position Requirements *


* Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English 

* Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards 

* Must have completed academic and practical competencies required (this includes Line of Progression requirements for internal employees where LOP Exists) and have experience demonstrating the required aptitude. The selected candidate shall demonstrate the ability to apply knowledge and skills while also passing a written assessment where required. This exam is based on skills/abilities and/or academic knowledge; as well as safety. 


*Mill Maintenance Helper Preferred Position Requirements *


* High School Diploma or GED 

* Previous experience demonstrating mechanical aptitude 


The estimated pay range for this role is currently  $20.00 – $26.50/hour.

Employees who are required to work on-site are eligible for a $1,450 monthly housing allowance, provided they meet program guidelines.
