Job Summary: As a Flatbed Dispatcher, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the dispatch of flatbed trucks to ensure timely and efficient deliveries. This role involves managing driver schedules, communicating with customers, and resolving any logistical challenges that arise during the transportation process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch Coordination: Schedule and assign loads to flatbed drivers, ensuring on-time pick-up and delivery.
• Driver Management: Update daily dispatch schedules, assign trucks, and ensure driver compliance with DOT hours of service regulations.
• Customer Communication: Inform customers of any delivery time variances and address any questions or concerns.
• Route Planning: Review customer orders to determine the most efficient routes, equipment, and manpower needs.
• Load Assignment: Ensure proper load securement and assignment to the right equipment.
• Issue Resolution: Quickly and professionally resolve any transportation issues or delays that may occur.
• Reporting: Maintain accurate records and provide timely updates and reports to management.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 1-3 years of dispatching experience in the trucking industry, particularly with flatbeds and vans.
• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in logistics or a related field is a plus.
• Skills: Proficient in TMS/CRM platforms, Google Drive, and Microsoft Office. Strong understanding of DOT regulations and U.S. geography.
• Attributes: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
