Position Overview:

FlexAI is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior PCB Design Engineer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing cutting-edge PCB designs, solving complex design challenges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our designs meet the highest standards of quality and performance. This is a critical role that will directly influence the success of our technology and product offerings.

What you’ll do:
  1. Analyze project requirements and develop advanced circuit boards with high speed, power, and multiple layers.
  2. Collaborate with electrical, signal integrity, and mechanical engineers to ensure PCB layouts meet functional and performance criteria.
  3. Participate in design reviews, identifying opportunities for improvement in layout and processes.
  4. Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews to optimize layouts for production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  5. Produce comprehensive design documentation, including Gerber files, manufacturing drawings, and assembly instructions.
  6. Work closely with manufacturing partners to ensure the manufacturability of designs and resolve any production issues.
  7. Manage project timelines and deliverables, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  8. Conduct design reviews and mentor junior engineers to enhance team capabilities.
  9. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate best practices into designs.

What you’ll need:

  1. Experience with HDI (High-Density Interconnect), Blind/Buried vias, stacked and staggered designs, back drilling, flex design, rigid-flex, RF circuit boards, and micro-via technologies.
  2. Strong knowledge of IPC standards and experience in creating footprints and managing design libraries.
  3. Expertise in stackup configurations and routing structures based on specific design needs.
  4. Familiarity with high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, DDI, DDR, SERDES, USB, HDMI, and more.
  5. A solid understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal/mechanical requirements.
  6. Hands-on experience with DFx standards, including DFM (Design for Manufacturability), DFA (Design for Assembly), and DFT (Design for Testability).
  7. Extensive experience using Allegro PCB Designer and Allegro Symphony design tools.
  8. Ability to develop and manage project schedules, identifying potential gaps early to ensure smooth project execution.
  9. Capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting timelines.
  10. Strong communication skills to serve as the key link between mass production PCB processes and prototype development.
  11. Self-motivated and driven, demonstrating productivity and efficiency in PCB creation and design.
