Job Description: Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Location: Sunnyvale, CA (Day 1 Onsite)
Position type: Fulltime
Experience Required: Minimum 8- 10 years overall, including 5+ years specifically as an SRE.

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team and ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of our AWS-based infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, configuration management, automation, and load balancing, combined with experience in containerization and networking concepts. This position requires hands-on expertise in maintaining and enhancing cloud-based systems and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain scalable and high-performing AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, and Lambda.
- Configure and manage Nginx for load balancing and optimize system performance.
- Implement and maintain configuration management and automation using Ansible.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve system reliability, availability, and performance.
- Leverage containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes to deploy and manage scalable applications.
- Develop and enhance CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI to ensure seamless deployments.
- Create scripts using Python, Bash, or Shell for automation and operational tasks.
- Work on network troubleshooting and optimization, including a deep understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure infrastructure supports the development, testing, and deployment of applications.
- Ensure system security, scalability, and fault tolerance through robust design principles and proactive monitoring.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Cloud Expertise:
- Extensive experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Route53, Lambda).
- Strong understanding of cloud scalability and performance optimization.
DevOps & Automation:
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Load Balancing and Nginx:
- Expertise in Nginx configuration and load balancing strategies.
- Solid understanding of load balancing concepts, algorithms, and tools.
Containerization and Orchestration:
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for application deployment and management.
Scripting:
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Shell scripting for automation.
Networking:
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking concepts and troubleshooting.
Reliability Engineering:
- Proven ability to improve system scalability, reliability, and performance.
