Job Posting: Parking Guest Services Supervisor/Valet Attendant

Location: DFW Airport, TX (Onsite)

Working Hours: Rotational

Rate: $19.20/hr W2 (Without Benefits)


GENERAL SUMMARY

Under general supervision, provides oversight of contract service quality and daily operational matters on the assigned shift. Ensures compliance with service quality standards and contractual obligations for Valet Parking and off-airport parking operations.


PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee contract bussing operations and valet parking service quality.
  • Maintain a daily log of events and process reports of inoperative equipment.
  • Interact with guests and employees, recording complaints and concerns.
  • Evaluate performance of operators and concessionaires.
  • Monitor two-way radio communications for operational oversight.
  • Coordinate information exchange among contract operators and airport departments.
  • Track and use metrics to assess performance and recommend solutions.
  • Facilitate communication during emergencies, including severe weather events.
  • Inspect areas for maintenance and cleanliness issues; report and track resolutions.
  • Conduct periodic inventory of equipment and vehicles.
  • Recommend operational solutions for issues like weather or construction.
  • Record data in appropriate databases and follow up on tasks.
  • Allocate resources effectively and respond to situations appropriately.
  • Work with team members to distribute assignments and accomplish shift tasks.
  • Analyze data and track trends in service performance.
  • Review and track invoices and payments.
  • Participate in regular meetings with peers and leadership.
  • Assist on projects within the department and with other airport departments.
  • Assist Guest Service Specialists with bussing operations as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.
  • Two (2) years of experience in guest service.
  • Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Good judgment in allocating resources.
  • Ability to plan and organize daily and emergency activities.
  • Capacity to work under distractions and respond quickly in emergencies.
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a DFW access badge (fingerprints, background check, etc.).


DESIRABLE

  • Experience in airport transportation standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of contract oversight standards.
  • Ability to pass the test for a Class B Commercial Driver’s License with a passenger endorsement.


EFFORT

  • Drive staff vehicles and spend most of the shift in the operational environment.
  • Stand and/or walk for extended periods.
  • React calmly and logically in emergency situations.
  • Use reasoning in problem-solving and perform mathematical computations.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing through various devices.
