The Master Scheduler will play a critical role in planning, organizing, and coordinating production schedules to ensure on-time delivery of products and services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scheduling, project management, and a keen attention to detail.
*Master Scheduler Responsibilities*
* Develop and maintain master production schedules based on sales forecasts, customer orders, and production capacity.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, procurement, engineering, and logistics to ensure alignment of schedules and resources.
* Analyze production data and performance metrics to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
* Implement scheduling best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and productivity.
* Communicate schedule changes, priorities, and constraints to relevant stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.
* Monitor inventory levels and work in progress to minimize excess and obsolete inventory while maintaining sufficient stock to meet customer demand.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and components to support production schedules.
* Generate reports and presentations to provide visibility into schedule performance, resource utilization, and key performance indicators.
* Participate in production meetings, capacity planning discussions, and other cross-functional meetings as required.
* Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in scheduling and production planning.
*Master Scheduler Position Requirements*
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
* Proven experience as a Master Scheduler or similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
* Proficiency in using scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or SAP.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
* Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and precision in planning and execution.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
* Prior experience in the defense or maritime industry is desirable but not required.
