This role is Hybrid (3 days in, 2 days out) in Overland Park and hours are Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm.
GENERAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the timely and accurate payment of real estate taxes, monitoring of non-escrow taxes to force-place if necessary, monitor outstanding tax reports, complete annual escrow analysis.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for handling phone calls and correspondence from customers regarding real estate taxes. This also includes monitoring the tax inbox.
- Facilitate delivery and processing of real estate tax files between vendor and mortgage servicing system of record.
- Adhere to and be knowledgeable of all federal, state, and/or investor guidelines for payment of real estate taxes.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of FHA, VA, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, FHLB and RESPA Guidelines.
- Knowledge of mortgage products.
- Knowledge of mortgage software.
- Excellent organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced
- environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and with strict deadlines.
- Ability to self-initiate and work independently without close supervision.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
- Ability to resolve interpersonal conflict and miscommunications.
- Knowledge of spreadsheet software and ability to use word processing software.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to be bonded.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years’ experience in tax escrow accounts.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
In this position, individual will be expected to lift up to 20 pounds from time to time.
Also, must be able to stoop, bend, reach, or stand for extended periods of time. Must be able to sit and use a computer for extended periods of time.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position is expected to work in general office environment and may have to travel for visits to credit union facilities or for training purposes. Overtime will be expected to be worked as needed.
