Michael Kors | Supervisor, Distribution Safety

Who You Are:
You are responsible for supporting the Whittier Distribution Campus and the Operations and Support teams to ensure full implementation and consistent execution of Security Programs. You are responsible for managing loss prevention programs and developing tools and techniques for maintaining a secure work environment. You are responsible for the prevention and deterrence or detection and investigation of fraud and illegal activity within the Michael Kors supply chain.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage projects that develop and maintain pro-active programs that protect the Company's assets by reducing and preventing any type of Company loss.
- Manage and promote employee security awareness per established Company guidelines.
- Supervise and develop contract Security Guard personnel.
- Initiate and coordinate internal theft investigations and successfully bring them to a conclusion.
- Maintain and monitor burglar/fire alarms, security cameras, entry and access control systems, lock and key control, and other physical security programs according to C-TPAT certification.
- Conduct alarm system tests, gap checks, routine security rounds, and weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections with prudent follow-up.
- Develop and execute proper case management.
- Help foster a culture of honesty through positive communications and messaging, including; New Hire Orientations, shift meetings, management meetings, and other forms of delivery.
- Work closely with Distribution Operations to train and develop Distribution Leadership in all areas of security and loss prevention.
- Liaise with local Law Enforcement partners and peer Security Departments in the pursuit of internal and external case resolution.
- Actively support and participate in company-sponsored programs and events, task force groups, and various committees.
- Network with industry groups to gain new capabilities and benchmark programs.
- Perform other related duties as required.
- Build and maintain good relationships with all levels of Distribution Leadership as well as support Internal Audit, IT, Human Resources, Construction, Inventory Control, and other departments.
You’ll Need to Have:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels of Management
- Ability to identify and solve problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
- Demands may require overtime and/or evening or weekend scheduling
- Must have a working knowledge of security equipment, policies, and procedures.
- Minimum 4 years of general security leadership experience with at least 2 years in retail distribution.
- Minimum 4 years experience in Interview and Interrogation techniques with full knowledge of all applicable laws.
- Certified in Wicklander-Zulawski interview and interrogation techniques.
- Ability to conduct training and meetings in all sizes of groups.
- Ability to be accurate and detail-oriented
