About Us: South Texas Pathology Associates, LLP (STPA) is a private pathology group with over 30 years of excellence in pathology and laboratory diagnostic services. Our dedicated team includes approximately 15 partner-physicians, 6 employee physicians, and 5 pathology assistants. We pride ourselves on fostering long-lasting relationships with our physician and hospital colleagues while delivering top-tier pathology diagnostic services.

Overview: STPA is seeking an experienced and dynamic Medical Practice Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to enhancing patient care. As the Practice Manager, you will work closely with the Managing Partner and our physician partners to drive sustainable growth and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate service coverage and scheduling at 5 hospital sites.
  • Serve as the administrative backbone for HR and PR communications.
  • Oversee legal and contract discussions (with legal advisors, as needed).
  • Oversee payroll and benefits programs (with accounting advisors, as needed)
  • Manage recruitment, interviews, and employment contracts for new associates.
  • Advise on key business decisions while overseeing day-to-day operations.
  • Aid in develop and implementation of group policies and procedures.
  • Ensure federal practice compliance through internal audits.
  • Initial orientation with thorough review of specailty materials (CAP)

Scope of Role: The Practice Manager role is dynamic and requires a focus on both immediate priorities and long-term goals. Experience and interest in managing medical practice operations, legal compliance, and staff relations are essential.

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree (MBA, MHA, or similar) strongly preferred;
  • Bachelor’s Degree with substantial experience will also be considered.
  • 5+ years of medical practice management experience strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Office and Google Suite.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to drive communication and resolve conflicts.
