The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician at Kapiolani Medical Center is responsible for performing laboratory tests, analyzing results, and ensuring safety and compliance in a fast-paced environment. Status: Full-time
Hours/Days: TBD
Hourly base pay:
MLT Base pay rate: $25.44– $27.98 hourly shift differentia eligible
MT Base pay rate: $34.50 to $37.95 hourly shift differential eligible
Sign-On Bonus/Relocation Available
In this role, you will:
- Able to perform all the essential job duties of a Medical Technologist
- Analyze, review, and report testing results
- Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
- Work in a fast-paced laboratory environment with biological and chemical hazards
- Champion safety, compliance, and quality control
All you need is:
- Associates degree in medical technology or related science from an accredited program
- Current certification such as ASCP, NCA, HEW, AMT or equivalent
- Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
- Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, automated analyzers, centrifuges, microscopes, manual and automated pipettes, and audible alarms
Bonus points if you’ve got:
- 2+ years of laboratory experience in a hospital/commercial lab setting.
