Position Summary:

  • Provide direct and safe nursing care to patients across various age groups and specialties.
  • Collaborate with healthcare team to develop care plans that consider age-specific needs of patients and their families.
  • Administer medication, including IV medication, in accordance with the Seven Rights and accurately document clinical findings.
  • Participate in orientation, training, and evaluation of new personnel.
  • Assist with special tests and procedures and ensure proper consent has been obtained.
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families in accordance with Hospital standards.
  • Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care and report any concerns or issues.
  • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and workshop.

Qualifications:

  • Program Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • No minimum experience required.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Current RN license in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
  • CPR for Healthcare/BLS Provider or Professional Rescuers certification within 30 days of hire.

Physical Conditions:

  • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work.

Working Conditions:

  • Required to work with hazardous materials and chemicals, PPE provided.
