Talent Corps is seeking an experienced Substation Electrician to join our team for a project in Atmore, Alabama. This role involves maintaining, constructing, and retrofitting electric substation equipment as part of a dedicated crew. If you have a strong background in substation work and are looking for a temp-to-hire opportunity, we want to hear from you Pay is between $28-$38 per hour based on experience, with a $125 per diem.

Responsibilities:

• Time Switch, Bust Weld, Maintain and construct substation equipment including circuit breakers, transformers, switches, battery systems, tap changers, cooling systems, and lighting arresters.
• Retrofit existing substation equipment and systems.
• Place concrete drilled shaft foundations and pads.
• Install support steel structures, station insulators, ground grids, and bus.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the efficient and safe completion of projects.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in substation work.
• Experience with bus welding, setting steel, and timing switches.
• Ability to build and retrofit substations.
• Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
• Reliable and detail-oriented with strong teamwork skills.

Project Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• End Date: December
• Shift: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday

Additional Information:

• Background Check: 7-year background check required.
• Drug Screen: 10-panel drug screen required.
