Dynamic Solutions Technology, LLC, a premier strategic services firm that meets IT and Service needs for commercial and government clients, is seeking a full-time Software Architect (Senior) to support contract work out of the DC/Maryland/Virginia (DMV) area. This is an exempt remote opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  1. Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
  2. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
  3. Understand LAN/WAN/WLAN concepts, infrastructure, and protocols.
  4. Full life cycle application and system development, engineering, programming, and analysis.
  5. Update or enhance existing software capabilities.
  6. Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
  7. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code.
  8. Provide test review and analysis, test witnessing, and certification of developed software.
  9. Monitor and manage database backups, logs, and journals; install, maintain, and upgrade database software, restore and/or recover data as required.
  10. Use knowledge of pertinent system software, computer equipment, work processes, regulations, and management practices.
  11. Demonstrate a wide degree of creativity and latitude as expected.
  12. Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  13. Attend meetings and conferences as required and serve as a primary interface with the Government.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or IT related focus field.
  2. 15 years of additional relevant work experience.
  3. Scrum Master Certification.
  4. Experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. Agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.

Skills:

  1. Excellent oral and written skills.
  2. Excellent critical thinking skills.
  3. Proficient in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  4. Ability to work independently and as a team member.
  5. Ability to learn and apply project management concepts to assigned duties.
  6. Experience with applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting.
