Halff has an opening for a Senior Roadway Engineer, with a Texas PE License, to be a Senior Project Manager to join our growing Roadway / Transportation team based out of our Corpus Christi, TX office. The ideal candidate would have at least 15 years of experience in roadway / transportation project development with emphasis in delivery of TxDOT Transportation PS&E and/or Schematic Design projects. Senior Roadway Engineer (PE) / Senior Project Manager - Transportation PS&E / Schematic Design Responsibilities:
  • Works closely with the Transportation Team Leader in the development and delivery of TxDOT Transportation PS&E / Schematic Design projects
  • Performs complex transportation engineering tasks and leads other professional staff in the development of transportation projects
  • Develops and manages project scope, personnel, budgets, schedules and collaborates with clients and stakeholders
  • Manages multiple transportation tasks or projects in support of business needs
  • Manages other consultant teams and the workload of design staff including Engineers, EIT’s, and technical staff that contribute to the growth and safety of Texas roadways
  • Reviews transportation deliverables for accuracy and consistency
  • Reports on project progress and budgets
  • Works with the Transportation Team Leader and Operations Manager in business development activities
Senior Roadway Engineer (PE) / Senior Project Manager - Transportation PS&E / Schematic Design Education/Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Texas or are able and willing to obtain license within six months of starting date
  • At least 15 years of experience in TxDOT Roadway / Transportation PS&E and/or Schematic Design project delivery
  • MicroStation CADD and Geopak experience, OpenRoads experience desirable
  • Ability to lead a project, technical staff, and manage project schedules and budgets
  • Experience managing roadway design projects and plan production
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and decision-making skills
  • Commitment to quality
  • Positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player and a person of high character with a focus on quality, integrity and success
  • TxDOT experience (as a TxDOT employee or consultant) is desirable
  • Primavera (P6) Experience is desirable
