LHH | Construction Attorney

I am working with a national AM LAW ranked firm, who are actively looking to hire an experienced attorney to join their growing construction practice in Kansas City office.


Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of construction-related agreements, including contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, and joint venture agreements.
  • Dispute resolution.
  • Provide legal guidance on project financing, development agreements, and procurement processes.
  • Conduct due diligence reviews and risk assessments to identify potential legal issues and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Advise clients on regulatory compliance matters, including zoning and land use regulations, environmental requirements, and building codes.


Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Missouri and/or Kansas.
  • 6+ years of experience practicing law with a focus on construction transactions and dispute resolution, preferably within a reputable law firm or in-house legal department.
  • Strong understanding of construction law principles, including contract law, construction liens, and mechanic's liens.
  • Proven track record of drafting and negotiating complex construction agreements.
