Emulsion experience, a plus. Candidate must be local. Willingness to work extended hours and weekends, where needed will be expected.


The candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring activities in the Quality Control Department designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. The candidate will be relied on to conduct both QC & R&D related experiments in efforts to support operations. This role reports directly to the Plant Manager and must be able to work well within plant operations, R&D, maintenance, and engineering teams.


The plant operates 24-5, so a willingness to work shifts, long hours and weekends (on rotation), will be expected during busy periods.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Direct supervision of employees and activities in the quality control department in the performance of plant lab testing and analysis

· Develop and drive a high‐level quality strategy for the manufacturing site to facilitate compliance to internal and external (customer) requirements

· Work with plant/facility personnel to develop best practices and replicate throughout organization

· Interface with supplier quality management

· Interact with customer QA/QC representatives and participate in customer audits

· Coordinate Manufacturing Corrective Action Boards and root cause investigations as needed

· Coordinate instrumentation calibration and preventive maintenance on lab equipment

· Manage QC related supplies & consumables

· Handles special projects, as assigned

· Develop, maintain, and enforce health and safety programs

REQUIRED SKILLS:

· Bachelor of Science in chemistry or related science degree

· 4+ years of experience in Quality Control or Analytical Lab experience

· Lab Supervisory experience

· Proven experience in Quality Management

· Strong analytical skill and troubleshooting skills

· Standard working hours with on call responsibilities

· Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

· Exceptional interpersonal and problem‐solving skills; must be skilled in building relationships and customer engagement

· Good verbal and writing skills

· Self‐motivated, goal orientated, strong team player
