Company Description

Delta Field Services is searching for a part-time in-office HR Coordinator in Memphis, TN. The HR Coordinator will primarily focus on new hire onboarding and benefits administration. The role will require a flexible 10-20 hours of in-office work every week from our small, casual office in Midtown. Some weekends will require 3-5 hours of work that can be done at your own pace remotely. This role will also support the recruiting function by sourcing candidates and scheduling interviews as well as special projects as assigned from the Office Manager and HR Director.


This is a great opportunity for a college student looking to break in to HR or a full time parent who wants to be done by 3:00 PM every day. This position is unlikely to become full-time in the near future.


Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience in HR or a similar administrative role, preferably within a fast-paced environment is ideal.
  • Familiarity with basic HR functions such as recruiting, onboardin, and employee relations preferred either through experience or education, but will train the right candidate.


Skills and abilities:

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to interact professionally with all levels of employees and external contacts.
  • Organizational Skills: High level of attention to detail, ability to multitask, and effectively prioritize workload.
  • Computer Proficiency: Skilled in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HRIS or ATS systems preferred.
  • Confidentiality and Discretion: Understanding of data privacy and the importance of maintaining employee confidentiality.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to address issues and suggest improvements to HR processes as needed.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Personable and service-oriented, with a focus on creating a positive employee experience.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected challenges in a dynamic work environment.


Nice to have:

  • Knowledge of Employment Laws: Basic understanding of employment regulations (such as FMLA, ADA, and EEO) and compliance requirements.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience with HR project management or initiatives that support HR functions (such as onboarding or employee engagement projects).
