This position offers a $1000 SIGN ON BONUS for new Ricoh team members Responsible for the efficient and quality pick-up, relocation, and delivery of office equipment in a safe manner. Installation and networking of gear may be necessary during delivery to customers. The professionalism of the driver directly impacts future customer purchase decisions. Drivers are also expected to provide basic training on the devices being delivered and must meet all federal DOT requirements, as well as Delivery Safety Standards.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Safely deliver equipment to the correct location.
  • Maintain log books in accordance with DOT regulations (electronic or manual).
  • Conduct pre and post-trip reviews to ensure vehicle compliance with DOT and state laws.
  • Perform pick-ups of products alongside deliveries to minimize costs.
  • Execute basic connected installations, including setting up IP addresses and downloading print drivers.
  • Provide basic customer training on standalone and network devices.
  • Participate in Safety Programs.
  • Pre-call customers when applicable.
  • Achieve expected productivity levels.
  • Demonstrate good technical and excellent customer relation skills.
  • Identify customer needs and take appropriate action; refer calls as necessary.
  • Provide feedback on networking and installation initiatives.
  • Complete technical training on new equipment as required.
  • Maintain a professional appearance in driver uniform.
  • Contact Dispatch/service department when technicians are needed.
  • Ensure equipment is configured as per documentation.
  • Load and secure equipment in the vehicle properly.
  • Use phone for capturing electronic customer signatures.
  • Ensure paperwork is signed and processed correctly.
  • Assist in training new Delivery Drivers on products and proper loading.
  • Follow accident/incident reporting guidelines.
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory reconciliation.
  • Reconcile inventory based on route completion and report discrepancies.
  • Manage an inventory value of up to $1,000,000.
  • Overnight stays may be required.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Required Experience

  • Safe driving record and history.
  • Minimum two years of medium-duty truck driving experience.
  • On-the-job training with field technicians.
  • Valid and current medical card is required

Required Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 20 years old and have a valid driver's license.

Working Conditions

  • Working conditions may result in serious injuries if lifting or moving procedures are not followed.
  • Frequent physical activities such as stooping, bending, and lifting equipment weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Exposure to chemical solvents and cleaners.
  • Work environment includes office, warehouse, and van/truck settings with varied lighting, temperature, and noise levels.
  • Ability to work independently is essential.
