Our confident support team ensures that our DVMs can truly practice their best medicine and are never without an extra hand. We welcome DVMs of all experience levels to join our one-of-a-kind team. We can provide new graduates with a unique, individualized, and impactful mentorship program to give them any additional confidence and support they need. For experienced DVMs, our well-organized team and well-established practice will give you the opportunity to show off your already perfected skillsets. We have both full and part-time positions available About the area: Located just outside Stevens Point in central Wisconsin, Plover has that hometown feel and encourages the “buy it local” mentality as it supports its farmers and a wide variety of local enterprises. Residents enjoy the beautiful Wisconsin River, the abundance of county parks, and the many activities they bring for all seasons. Whether you kayak in the summer or curl up in a coffee shop in the winter, Plover is the perfect place to settle down and revel in the little things.Essential Responsibilities:Examine and treat companion animals to detect and determine the nature of disease or injuries.Operate diagnostic equipment and collect diagnostic samples as well as interpret results.Advise pet owners on preventative care and treatment options.Perform surgery and prescribe medication as needed.Provide counsel around pet end of life care.Maintain patients’ medical records.Ensures compliance with veterinary ethics and relevant statues, policies, and procedures.Requirements/Qualifications:Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited AVMA institution.Appropriate state licensure.Eligibility to obtain DEA/BNDD.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Demonstrates professional and courteous presentation consistently with staff and clients.Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance.Benefits Offered:Competitive Compensation - All salary ranges are negotiable based on experienceUnlimited personal timeBonus incentivesHealth insurance; dental insurance; vision insuranceRetirement benefits (401(k), Roth(k) with match)CE and licensure reimbursement Flexible work schedulesManaging career path developmentEmployee Assistance ProgramDVM Referral ProgramMental Health ResourcesRelocation assistance available
