Job Title: Director of Demand and Supply Planning

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Demand and Supply Planning to lead and optimize our planning processes using Integrated Business Planning (IBP) methodologies. This critical role ensures alignment between demand forecasts, supply chain capabilities, and financial objectives, enabling seamless product availability and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will excel at cross-functional collaboration, analytics, and driving continuous improvement within the cosmetics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Demand and Supply Alignment:

  • Develop and implement demand and supply planning strategies to ensure optimal inventory levels and product availability.
  • Utilize IBP processes to align sales forecasts, marketing initiatives, and operational capacities with company goals.

Forecasting and Demand Planning:

  • Oversee the development of accurate demand forecasts by incorporating inputs from sales, marketing, and historical data.
  • Use advanced analytics and IBP tools to refine forecasting models and improve accuracy.

Supply Planning and Optimization:

  • Lead supply planning to balance production capacity, inventory levels, and customer demand.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks or inefficiencies in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Facilitate regular IBP meetings to review and align demand, supply, and financial plans.
  • Partner with procurement, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless execution of supply plans.

Scenario Planning and Risk Management:

  • Conduct scenario analyses to evaluate the impact of market changes, product launches, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Develop contingency plans to address potential risks and maintain business continuity.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory turnover.
  • Provide actionable insights to senior leadership on planning performance and areas for improvement.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of demand and supply planners, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Provide training on IBP methodologies and tools to enhance team capabilities.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
  • Expertise in Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes and tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in forecasting software and advanced planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, or equivalent).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proven track record of optimizing demand and supply planning processes in a fast-paced, dynamic industry (cosmetics experience preferred).
  • Ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
