We are seeking Software Engineer who wish to accelerate their skills and focus on tackling the most difficult challenges of the US Government, in one of the most exciting areas of the mission available. Requirements


What You’ll Be Doing (We don’t love the bullet points, but we love the work)


Your role will include being tapped into for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting GHOSTGEM's software suite of applications including JEDIPOWER. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS and FOSS products, packages, and libraries. The Software Engineer must have a demonstrated understanding of the software development life cycle.


You will get to work with cutting edge systems which might include (but are likely not limited to) processing intensive analytics (remember, this is HPC), novel algorithm development, manipulation of extremely large data sets (again, HPC), real-time systems, business management information systems, and systems which incorporate data repositories, data transport services, and application and systems development and monitoring. All being critical to the success of the customer and the overall mission at large.


Required Skills

– Experience using the Linux CLI

– Experience with scripting using Bash/Python

– Experience developing with Java in a Linux environment

– Experience with the Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Integration

– Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB

– Experience using Apache NiFi canvas to process and distribute data

– Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containerd

– Experience with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as GitLab CI and Jenkins

– Experience with IaC principles, concepts, and tools including Ansible

– Experience with Source Control Systems such as Git


Position Desired Skills

– Experience with Messaging Frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka

– Experience with container orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes

– Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence


Qualifications

– (7) years’ experience

– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
