Salary: 200k-250k DOE + Bonus
Position Overview
We are top 50 CPA advisory firm seeking an experienced Tax Sr. Manager or Director to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high touch service to our HNWI clients. The Tax Director will oversee and manage the tax compliance and planning for high-net-worth individuals and their trusts, ensuring optimized tax strategies and compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations. This is a very consultative and client facing role.
**Must be interested in growing into a Partner role within the next year or so**
Key Responsibilities
- Lead tax planning and compliance for individual, gift, pass through entities, and estate taxes for high-net-worth clients.
- Manage trust and estate tax matters, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Develop and implement tax strategies for pass-through entities to minimize tax liabilities.
- Act as a primary client liaison, providing exceptional client service and building strong relationships.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and assess the impact on clients' tax strategies.
- Review and approve tax returns and related documentation for accuracy and compliance.
- Mentor and develop junior staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related
- 10+ years of tax experience in a public accounting firm, 5 of those being in a management position
- HNW tax expertise, including individual, Estate, Gift, Trust, and pass through entity experience
- Must be comfortable being extremely client facing for ultra HNWI
- Ambition to become Partner within the next year or so
- Licensed CPA required or J.D., LL.M, or EA required
