About the Role: Benefits Manager

  • Lead role in the administration of employee benefit programs (e.g. health, dental, life, vision, short / long term disability insurance programs)
  • Works with brokers /carriers to facilitate annual Open Enrollment for employees,
  • Distributes employee manuals, benefit materials, and other publications.
  • Reviews, reconciles, and approves carrier invoices and ensures that Accounts Payable remits for group insurance payments to carrier in a timely manner to ensure no lapse in coverage.
  • Ensures that FMLA, LOA, USERRA, and other related leave requests and related claims are processed in a timely manner.
  • Handles all inquiries and complaints regarding insurance and other employee benefits.
  • Reviews and reconciles invoices from providers against employee premium deductions and enrollment information on a monthly / biweekly basis.
  • Ensures that employee benefit kits, and all related documents are up to date, displayed and distributed for all employees utilizing email, texts, UKG Pro, etc., to comply with all Local, State and Federal laws and regulations.
  • Routinely updates Lincoln group retirement plan, schedules periodic 403b Tax Sheltered Annuity Plan educational sessions with 403b Plan Broker and advisor.
  • Processes all enrollment and change requests.
  • Participates in annual 403b Plan Audit and communicates with insurance carrier on a matter related to administration of the Agency's' retirement plan, workers comp and other audits as required.
  • Responsible for annual ACA reporting and 1094/1095 submissions.
  • Manages all other related matters concerning the administration of Benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Must have at least three years’ experience with Benefits in a similar role
  • Demonstrated experience handling or working closely with Payroll.
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
  • HR certification (HRCI/SHRM) preferred.
  • Experience working with UKG Pro (formerly UltiPro) HR system.
