Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) position at Avera Care Flight is a critical role that requires a high level of expertise and dedication. As a RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care and make informed decisions.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for individual actions and outcomes of patient care delivered on your shift.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote health and wellness.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and services.
Requirements
  • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
  • Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
  • Three years of critical care experience required.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of multi-state licensure required.
  • North Dakota EMS required within 90 days from the date of hire.
  • Strongly encouraged to complete life-saving education specific to specialty area.
  • It is a requirement to obtain certification as a Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) within two years from the date of hire.
