Job Title: Sr. Principal Architect- Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning
Primary Location: Westchester, IL Hybrid, 3 days onsite.
Position Type: Direct Hire
Salary: 185K to 200K Depending on experience (DOE)
What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning engineering, or related roles.
- Proficient in one or more of the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning programming languages.
- Strong knowledge and experience in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning concepts, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, computer vision, natural language processing, reinforcement learning, etc.
- Hands-on experience in building and deploying Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning solutions using various frameworks, tools, and platforms, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience in working with large and complex datasets, using SQL, NoSQL, or big data technologies.
- Experience in managing and optimizing Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning pipelines, workflows, and infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning concepts and solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in applying DevOps principles and practices to Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning engineering, such as code quality, testing, documentation, version control, and continuous integration/continuous delivery & deployment.
- Experience working in a global environment, with the ability to navigate cultural differences and collaborate effectively with diverse teams across geographies.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment, with the ability to influence.
- Handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability and willingness to travel.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Certification in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning solutions & architecture or related fields is a plus.
Overview
Sr. Principal Architect of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Technologies & Architecture for our premier client. This is a new & exciting direct hire role in Westchester, IL.
The Senior Principal Architect of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning will be responsible for managing, designing, developing, and deploying scalable and robust artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions for various business problems to enable digital transformation and innovation across various functions. This senior-level role requires a candidate with a strong background in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning design, development, and architecture of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning technologies, and partnership with technical and non-technical stakeholders. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect, design and ensure development of impactful solutions that optimize processes for the identified opportunities. This role will also be responsible for managing the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning operations. This role will lead an external team of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning engineers, architects, consultants, and data scientists under a factory model approach.
This position will work closely with the Digital Partners, Solution Delivery leads, business analysts, consultants, developers, and project managers to understand the business requirements, translate them into Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning initiatives, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. This position will recommend the best solutions to meet the business requirements and will also provide technical guidance, best practices, and troubleshooting support to the executing teams.
What You'll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)
- Analyze the business requirements and processes of our business and translate them into solutions.
- Design and implement end-to-end Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning pipelines, including data ingestion and processing, model development and deployment, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Apply best practices and standards for Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning engineering, such as code quality, testing, documentation, version control, and continuous integration / continuous delivery & deployment.
- Select and use appropriate Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning frameworks, tools, and platforms, such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Research and evaluate the latest Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning techniques and algorithms and apply them to solve business problems.
- Design and document the solution architecture, including the integration, security, scalability, and performance aspects.
- Accountable for ensuring that the solutions are developed and configured according to the solution design and specifications.
- Review and approve all detailed solution design artifacts like functional and technical specifications.
- Test and validate the solutions and ensure they meet the quality standards and expectations of the solution architecture and design.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team and ensure adherence to best practices and standards.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand the business needs, define the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning objectives, and communicate the results and insights.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning engineers and data scientists.
- Manage the Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning operations team and ensure the quality, reliability, and scalability of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning solutions.
- Establish and enforce best practices, standards, and processes for Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning development and deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and engineers to define and prioritize Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning requirements and deliverables.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning solutions and provide feedback and recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate with the digital partners, project managers, solution delivery leads, business analysts, and end-users to provide feedback, updates, and recommendations on the solutions.
- Provide expert advice, help and support to resolve any technical issues and challenges that arise during the project implementation and deployment.
- Stay updated on the latest technologies, trends, and innovations and suggest improvements and enhancements to the solutions. Evaluate new and emerging technologies and trends, conducting feasibility studies and prototyping to assess potential impact and value and foster a culture of innovation and learning within the team.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to Digital Partner and Digital technology Solutions Leadership Team on function technology related matters, providing insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
