Senior Engineer Responsibilities:


1. Review customer specifications for upcoming future orders so that AHV may bid on

and be awarded such orders, this includes:

a) Providing quick schematics and parts list so that pricing may be obtained

b) Quick mechanical drawings, sketches to provide to the customer to help in the bidding process.

2. Understand and support existing orders.

3. When orders are placed by a customer, undertake the design to provide a production worthy prototype that will meet all specification required within the proper timeframe

and within budget.

a) Create Travelers

b) Create necessary procedures (test, potting)

c) Create required assembly and outline drawings

4. Debug customer returns and interface with QA and Production to make corrective actions, when necessary.

5. Support the Marketing Department for constant upgrades and product promotion.

6. Be ready to travel to existing or potential customers to support the sales department.

7. Be able to specify replacement components if availability of standard component is compromised.

8. Be cognizant of competitor products with the goal of designing new products for AHV.

9. Help resolve production bottlenecks.

10. Design automatic testing devices for QA

11. Be skilled in all forms of encapsulants and materials used at AHV.

12. Become fluent in all of AHV production processes especially those employed with NTR units.

13. Become proficient in LT Spice or Tina-TI Spice to the level of non-linear magnetic material analysis (Tina).

14. Knowledge of Military Standards and contracts a plus.

15. Communicate with departments and give continual updates on the status of projects in development.

16. Reply to emails and communications in a timely manner.

17. Must be willing to relocate to AHV headquarters in Elko, NV within 6 months. Re-location compensation to be negotiated.


Senior Engineer will take personal responsibility for their continued professional growth and development.Senior Engineer is expected to provide engineering support to all sections of the company and assist in all areas of manufacturing where engineering is needed. Senior Engineer will be expected to utilize their experience to solve complex and challenging problems, and continually set goals and meet deadlines.
