We have an exciting opportunity to define how we use analytics, GenAI, tools like ChatGPT, and machine learning to transform customer experiences, accelerate business growth, and optimize our growth efforts. We are looking for a data-driven individual with excellent analytical skills, and an independent self-starter with experience in building a robust data foundation and data mart to enable reliable, scalable insights. This role also provides customer insights by mining large data sets, building dashboards to surface insights to business stakeholders, and operationalizing predictive models, including LLM-based solutions, in production environments.

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist who is intellectually curious, extremely self-driven, and has a proven track record of leading analytics support for critical or high-growth business areas. The ideal candidate will also have a passion for operationalizing data-driven insights, influencing the velocity and quality of learnings, and demonstrating a problem-solving mindset with extreme ownership.

What you'll bring:

  1. 3+ years of experience in product, business, and customer experience analytics, with hands-on experience in machine learning, GenAI, and model productionalization.
  2. Proficient in building and maintaining a data foundation and data mart, in customer segmentation, data enrichment, and personalization at scale using various tools and technologies.
  3. Highly skilled in SQL, Python, PySpark, Tableau, Databricks, and AWS, with substantial experience in machine learning model deployment and monitoring.
  4. Ability to transform data and insights into compelling stories, educating and influencing stakeholders to inspire action.
  5. Strategic thinker with excellent problem-solving skills, capable of providing end-to-end quantitative solutions to business problems.
  6. Strong project management skills, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet key deadlines.
  7. Proactive learner with excellent communication skills, effective with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  8. Holds a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Statistics, Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering); Master’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

How you will lead:

  1. Manage the entire cycle of iterative big data exploration, data cleansing, data foundation and data mart development, model building, insight generation/visualization, and LLM integration and deployment.
  2. Develop and implement a systematic and iterative approach to structure, extract, analyze, validate, and deploy, leveraging GenAI models and LLMs to optimize customer experiences.
  3. Design, deploy, and monitor machine learning models in collaboration with data engineering and DevOps teams to ensure scalable production environments.
  4. Build and maintain a high-quality data foundation and data mart that powers analytics and ML models, ensuring reliable and scalable data sources for insights generation.
  5. Provide recommendations to business leaders and stakeholders on the best way to utilize available data for various business partnership opportunities.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create analytics and reporting tools, utilizing GenAI tools to automate insights and support self-service.
  7. Collect, analyze, and model available data across the business and build a broad understanding of the GBSG customers and relevant customer segments.
  8. Use expertise and independent judgment when working with peers, data engineers, database managers, data analysts, and partners.
  9. Maintain data integrity, confidentiality, and availability by strictly adhering to data stewardship principles and guidelines.
  10. Effectively respond to unexpected plan changes and prioritize for the best outcomes, fostering a culture of high-quality output and a growth mindset.
