Job Details:
We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented Trust and Estate Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. This is a permanent position, offering an exciting opportunity to work on complex, high-profile trust and estate litigation cases. The ideal candidate will have a passion for trust and estate law, a strong track record in litigation, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Representing clients in all aspects of trust and estate litigation, including will contests, trust disputes, probate litigation, and fiduciary duty claims.
- Conducting comprehensive legal research and drafting complex legal documents, such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and memoranda.
- Advising clients on potential legal risks and developing strategies to avoid or minimize those risks.
- Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients in a manner that serves their best interests.
- Collaborating with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the efficient and effective handling of trust and estate litigation matters.
- Staying updated on the latest developments in trust and estate law and incorporating this knowledge into your practice.
Qualifications:
- A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- A current license to practice law in the state.
- A minimum of 4 years of civil litigation experience - experience in trust and estate litigation strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in legal research and drafting, with a keen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent negotiation and advocacy skills, with a proven ability to represent clients effectively in court.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and work collaboratively with a team.
- A high level of professionalism and ethical standards.
- The ability to manage a heavy caseload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A commitment to continuing legal education and professional development.
- Experience with legal research tools such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
