As Corporate Counsel at OM1, you’ll be an essential member of our legal team, providing strategic legal support across key business functions. Your primary focus will be on drafting and negotiating agreements with life science customers, partners, and vendors, and supporting business development through scalable contract templates. Additionally, you'll collaborate with various teams to ensure compliance and deliver training on contract management. This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to manage complex legal matters in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do at OM1
  • Draft and negotiate agreements with life science customers, partners, and research sites
  • Support business development efforts including developing scalable contract templates
  • Review third party vendor agreements related to customer contracts (e.g., tech-enabled services and CRO contracts)
  • Develop and deliver relevant training programs to management and the commercial team
  • Leverage external counsel for complex agreements, as needed
  • Provide general legal, corporate, and commercial support for the company’s activities
  • Legal review of new vendor agreements
What Experience You'll Bring
  • Juris Doctor degree and a member of a State Bar
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of related legal life sciences experience in a fast-paced, high-tech environment working with life sciences companies, CROs, and clinical research sites
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA privacy and security regulations
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects or tasks while effectively prioritizing to meet deadlines in a high volume and ever-changing fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of corporate law and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience/maturity to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Demonstrated experience with contract negotiations
  • Demonstrated experience using a contracts management system
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and GSuite software
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
